Alisha was just 27 when she was diagnosed with a rare type of incurable lung cancer, despite her highly active lifestyle and never having been a smoker. She was known and loved for her pragmatic, yet optimistic approach to life’s challenges, and for simultaneously managing to never lose her drive nor her signature exuberance. Right up until the end of her journey in February 2016, it was Alisha’s hope to raise as much awareness as possible for the Foundation and the very real risk of the disease in young people. She also wishedto support their efforts in funding research into the early detection of the disease and campaigning for better outcomes for lung cancer patients.
Alisha will always be remembered for being serious about defeating life’s challenges, yet wholly un-serious about herself along the way. Her loved ones hope this elegant yet playful bracelet can be a reminder to its wearers of her unique outlook, and help contribute to the fight of other sufferers of the disease.
